Our 2008 guests will included:
Jon Peter Lewis was a favorite top ten finalist from American Idol's third season. In November 2006, Jon released his debut album, Stories From Hollywood, to enthusiastic response and critical praise. Independently released, the album is a collection of original, high-energy songs and intimate acoustic tracks featuring Jon's explosive band.
After the 2004 release of his first original and well-received single, "Turn to Grey," Jon found continued success with another original song, "It's Christmas." The holiday tune, released by EMI, quickly broke out from the Canadian Now! Christmas 2 album and hit the charts at #13 just after 2 weeks of radio play. In September 2006, Jon recorded a second original Christmas song, "California Christmas" which was featured on the Breaking for the Holidays compilation album. He is currently performing with his band throughout the country.
The third-place finisher on the fourth season of American Idol, Vonzell "Baby V" Solomon is a multi-talented producer, song writer and performing artist. She has recently recorded her first album, entitled My Struggle, through her own independent record label, Melodic Records.
Solomon's credits since American Idol include being a featured artist on the Dear Santa holiday compilation album with a rendition of "O Come All Ye Faithful" alongside Alicia Keys, Nick Lachey and other well-known recording artists. She also recorded a song for the new Christmas album, Breaking for the Holidays called "It's Gonna Be A Cold Cold Christmas." She made her acting debut with a cameo role in the upcoming independent film Still Green. Her television appearances include Good Morning America, Live with Regis & Kelly, the Tyra Banks Show and the VH1 Big in '05 Awards Show among others.
At only 4'11", Paris Bennet, the 5th season American Idol finalist, may be pint sized. But she definitely packs a wallop when it comes to singing.
Early in her Idol career, the Rockford, Illinois-born singer was a standout, capturing the audience's and voter's heart with her natural, full bodied voice. Even though Bennett's elimination in round five precluded her from donning the Idol crown, the singer's 2007 album, "Princess P" is being distributed by TVT Records and released through 306 Entertainment. The album, featuring lead single "Ordinary Love", is a blend of rock flavored R&B, complete with electic guitars and topped off by Bennett's retro, gut-driven vocals.
Chris Sligh ranked tenth on the sixth season of American Idol. He exploded onto the national spotlight with an audition that was named by Entertainment Weekly as one of the top 10 in Idol history. He was funny, he was quirky, he didn't look like the models that make up so much of pop music and on top of it all, he had a great voice. People were taken aback and Sligh was an early favorite.
Within a few weeks of being off the show, Chris had been contacted by 11 labels, eventually settling on Brash Music, a mainstream indie label. His album, "Running Back to You" has been referred to as an incredible debut and has received high ratings nearly across the board from reviewers both mainstream and Christian. USA Today gave the album 3.5 our of 4 stars, calling Chris "the most musically ambitious Idol";
